Serving the Markham, Agincourt, Scarborough, Aurora, Richmond Hill, & Unionville areas! ![]() Sgt. Pepper's Pub & Grill5694 Highway 7Markham, Ontario, Canada L3P 1B4 Tel: 905.471.9876 Mon-Sat: 11:00am - 2:00am Visa | MC | Amex | Cash | Interac Visit the Sgt. Pepper's Pub & Grill website! The Bar:
Walking into Sgt. Pepper's, you get the feeling there's more to this place than being just a bar or a local
hangout for the Markham crowd, but a friendly and warm environment with something for all. From the locals
who come in to enjoy the after-work ambience to the steady crowd of working adults who show up for live jazz on
Thursday nights and live music on the weekends, this establishment is a multi-purpose dining and entertainment venue.
There are really 2 sections to Sgt. Pepper's: the bar side and the restaurant side. Separated by a wall with frosted glass windows, this clever divide allows you to be aware of what's going on in the next room and to share some of its ambience without having to fully commit to it. Featuring a comfortable and casual atmosphere, the bar room has 2 dartboards, 2 electronic scorekeepers, a Golden Tee machine, and plenty of seating to enjoy an after work cocktail or while waiting for the music to happen. There are also enough televisions - both big screen and smaller units with satellite feeds - that you won't miss any part of the game from any part of the bar. The dining and entertainment room kicks things up a notch. While open in concept, there is an intimate and inclusive feel in this section. You can have relative privacy in one of the 6 booths along the common wall, each outfitted with Tiffany-style hanging lights, or sit along the opposite wall in bench-style seating. There's also a row of tables between the two wall options, with standard bar chairs. Frequented mainly by adults 30-and-over, this venue is definitely a quality-of-life establishment where you're unlikely to find the younger urban crowd. On the weekends, Sgt. Pepper's also has a 'Fine Dining' menu with selections not normally available throughout the week. The Dart Area:
Not only are there four dartboards divided into two separate dart areas, but there are four electronic
scoring machines (two of which are Dartmasters) - as well. No chalking! No mistakes! No mess!
Two of the boards are located at the front of the bar's dining room and there is plenty of room. The other two are in the main bar area and are not obstructed in any way. All four boards have great lighting and did we mention that each dartboard has its own electronic scoring machine? You can play alone against the Dartmaster and its different skill levels for 'Cricket' or any of the '01' games or you can play against friends and never have to think about math! The Patio:
In warmer months, the patio is large enough to hold 20 people with table service for food and beverages being
provided. Smoking is permitted in this area and the management has provided a propane-heater to keep you warm
during the colder months.
The Menu:
In addition to the standard pub classics such as wings, ribs, and burgers, you can enjoy terrific pasta dishes
and fine dining menu available on weekends.
Daily Specials:
Live Music:
With a live Jazz band on Thursdays and live music bands on Saturdays, it's hard to find a more active bar
anywhere. There's never a cover and the entertainment is provided strictly for your listening pleasure!
The Jazz band takes the stage just before 8:00pm and usually finishes before 10:00. No waiting until late for the band to play means that you can be home at a reasonable hour and well-rested enough to come back for the Saturday's lineup! Public Transit:
Conveniently located on the north side of Highway 7 (between McCowan and Markham Roads), the 'GO Transit'
buses can get you there easily enough. For the most part, driving is probably easier and we might suggest
that you car-pool with some friends so that you can enjoy yourself without having to worry about driving
at all.
Be sure to ask the bar about their 'Designated Driver' programme. Click here to view the Go Transit's Highway 7 bus schedule! Driving Directions & Map
East of McCowan and just west of Markham Road, the bar is located in the Sherwood Plaza strip mall. The
closest intersection would be just east of the bar with Galsworthy Drive on the north side and Grandview
Boulevard on the south.
Parking:
As the bar is located in a strip mall there are hundreds of free parking spaces in the parking lot: No
tickets, no hassles, no walking, and it's free!

What people have been saying:
"Where else can you enjoy a nice dinner and listen to a Jazz band for less than $20.00?" "We played darts there all day and the beer specials were great! We'll be back for sure!" "The lunch specials are amazing and the free WiFi was a definite bonus!" The Dart Action:
Home to four dart teams from the Markham Dart League, Tuesdays are official league nights for Sgt. Pepper's and
all four dartboards are in use on those nights. People can be seen playing rounds of friendly matches almost
any other day of the week and the bar will soon be hosting blind draw dart tournaments as well.
