Results from the Wise Guys Blind Draw Dart Tournament
Well, Week 2 of the Blind Draw Pub Crawl did that just that: crawled along against the backdrop of an ugly winter evening with wet snow and a chilly breeze. We all knew we were in Canada last night, but once the blind draw regulars queued in and warmed up a little there were some good darts to be had.
We pulled names at random and Sean M. got a free entry cert. to our next blind draw, Mervyn W. got a $10 certificate, Mark C. won a custom Toronto Darts toque, and new player and Wise Guys regular Mike G. won the brand new Nodor Supawire II dart board. Congratulations Mike, and we know youíre going to be putting that board up in your basement and hitting some numbers in the near future. Keep it up and maybe one day weíll see you on stage. Earlier on in the night Mike G. tried in vain to convince his friend - letís call her Lady X. since I didnít catch her name - to join in. But as often happens with these types of things, after seeing some of the better shots throwing a couple of tons, Lady X decided to pass on the evening. Too bad really. We totally understand how that can intimidate a newer player, but let me tell you one thing, the crowd we had last night really was a friendly bunch, and itís fair to say most were there just to play darts and share some camaraderie. Not one person would have felt bad if they were drawn with a new player. 1st place went to Edwin and Mervyn, who received a total of $60 back (cash and bar credit), and 2nd went to Jay and Shaun who got $40 back. High score went to Jay (with a 180) and high finish went to John Henry (with an 81).
