The Bar:

Big Ronnie's is a neighbourhood bar known for it's down-to-earth atmosphere and good prices on drinks and beer. With a full kitchen priced to provide good food at a reasonable price, going out for a day or evening of darts and a few drinks is rarely as inexpensive as you'll find here.

The Dart Area:

Current owner Merv Wallace, a long-time dart player himself, told us he bought the bar to "Do darts up right", and he didn't disappoint. With attention to detail that only a dart player and master carpenter could do such as beer ledges - yes, beer ledges for chalkers - details such as size of the chalkboards, distance between each boards, and a setup that allows 3 more boards to be added at will for tournaments and especially busy nights, we know Merv came through on his promise as the dart area is definitely "done up right".

The Dart Action

With the city's first legitimate Sunday afternoon shoot in some 5 years underway, and Merv and Company holding court through the rest of the week, there's usually someone around to throw a game with. Since opening, the dart area has seen the likes of some of the best dart players around, as well as quite a few new players and locals starting to learn the game.

There is a game to be had here just about any night of the week. With Tuesday league night, and the city's only Sunday afternoon Blind Draw, the rest of the week you might just find Merv or one of the regulars ready for a friendly one-on-one.

The Menu:

Big Ronnie's has a full kitchen with typical pub fare. The prices are so low they're essentially all specials.

Parking:

Easy to get to by car, Big Ronnie's has lots of metered parking spots just outside on either side of Danforth Avenue. If paying for parking isn't to your liking, you can find a spot on one of the sidestreets nearby.

Public Transit:

If you plan to take public transit, you can take the subway to Greenwood Station along the Bloor-Danforth subway line, and walk West about a block and a half. It's less than 5 minutes, and is only a few doors west from Greenwood Avenue.
